@jsonbecker Kevin Kruse on Bluesky recently posted that he will block anyone who said both sides are the same instantly. No sealioning tolerated by either the people on the right or left.

@Parag You can only hope. After not living in India for a while, you realize there are so many bank holidays that you wonder how people get any work done. But also hope that one person who can get your work done is not on personal vacation (te sutti var aahet 😡)

@Parag Best done in person if you’re planning a visit but depends if it’s a joint account.

@eumrz Same in India. Even by businesses in fact. India-American communities (first-gen at least) also rely more on WhatsApp

@manton Agree. And that's how WhatsApp Web works too, right? The Phone Link for iOS works on Windows for now. But web will be truly accessible to all. BTW the Mac app for WhatsApp is pretty nice too.

@JohnPhilpin After trying all of them and staying away from the ridiculously priced subscription ones, I am now using the default Apple one.

@SimonWoods Ideally, it should not but it does. In a way, that’s why we are writing publicly because people can read it. You can decide how much that knowledge influences your writing. Some people may censor themselves whereas others may be even more open. The nefarious kinds are the ones who seek “engagement” in any shape or form (clickbait, deliberately provocative, trolling, etc.)

Also after I replied I thought about another aspect. Of course, we can do and write whatever on our blogs but places we’re syndicating it (socials) are semi-public so perhaps we ought to be cognizant of their ease of reading, format, etc. If I’m expecting you to step outside the RSS feed reader or a timeline, I want you to not regret that click. Hence I continue to push for selective crossposting.

@Ddanielson Coincidentally I had been thinking the same. Especially around the OneMonthClub. I see plenty of people who are creators on there but I wouldn't consider myself as one in my current blogging setup.

@numericcitizen

I’m using this service to post short thoughts using a single-word title. These posts are then cross-posted to my Micro.blog timeline with a link going back to my Scribbles site.

I still believe that in the spirit of "saved you a click", if post content fits on a timeline, we shouldn't ask the reader to click through to read it on our blog.

@stupendousman

I think the last locker I didn’t even sign - somebody just did for me and it assumed it was mine.

Trust me, even I thought of that but my dad's accountant is Raja Harishchandra.

@stupendousman The lockers are empty but we're paying Rs.7-10K per year for the rent which my dad is getting fidgety about.

@jarrod Exactly! This is one area where Apple should open up since it doesn't affect user privacy. Isn't Apple doing this now in EU?

@hawaiiboy Good one. Basically the principle of 'atomic habits' Focus on changing a thing by 1% but on a frequent basis.

@Mtt Hmm...I may have to edit the feeds.json file, too, to remove the Title field. I am rethinking if I should do all that just for the Micro.blog timeline. Thanks!

@Mtt Good time to ask if I could customize the More template to do what I’m doing now (only for macro posts) mostly for Micro.blog timeline - use a custom excerpt followed by Read More Link to Post Title. The custom excerpt doesn’t show on the post on the blog but only on the timeline.

Fine if tiny is designed to be this way
