Nerve Endings Firing Away

Another busy but exciting day in London thanks to my cuz and her husband’s chaperoning. We started in Borough Market munching on a variety of things and then walked it off in Hyde Park. We checked out the Serpentine Gallery and the Annex designed by Zaha Hadid.

The Kensington Palace grounds especially the Princess Diana statue was located nicely in the Sunken Garden. Albert Hall and the namesake’s statue was ostentatious but impressive.

To avoid the jubilee concert crowds, we took a black cab to Notting Hill. Unfortunately no Julia Roberts. But walked around fancy homes without getting shot (coz probably no one has guns?) and wondering about the paradox of shops along Portobello Road.

We survived the insane driving of an Uber driver (our first white one yet not a British one) to get from Notting Hill to Canary Wharf. Now about to dig into butter chicken.
